How we use your personal information

If you apply to our fellowship program we will collect your name, address, email address, phone number, and other information specified in the application form that you provide to us. This will be securely stored on Wufoo servers and after the applications deadline is over, on our secure database hosted at Amazon Web Services. The servers for Amazon Web Services are based in the USA.

Authorized administrators and reviewers assigned by the DSSG team at  Carnegie Mellon University as well as Data Science for Social Good Foundation will use this personal information to review your application, make application decisions, and to contact you regarding the status of your application.

Information sharing

We will not sell or rent your information, or share it with other organizations for marketing purposes.

Information security

We have put in place:

  1. appropriate security measures to prevent your personal information from being accidentally lost, used or accessed in an unauthorized way, altered or disclosed; and
  2. procedures to deal with any suspected information security breach and will notify you and any applicable regulator of a suspected breach where we are legally required to do so.

Linking to other websites

This transparency notice only covers the Data Science for Social Good Fellowship Application form. We are not responsible for how other websites track visitors and store information when you access them through links from our site. It is your own responsibility to check each website’s own transparency notice to find out how they use your personal information.

How long will we keep your personal information?

We will keep your personal information in our database system for up to 10 years after you apply to attend our workshop and for up to 10 years following the end of your engagement with us for the lawful processing basis as stated in this document.
